Getting a certificate, degree, diploma or training is a fantastic way to learn some new skills and begin developing competency.

HOWEVER, your #education does not define your career path.

I’ve found that the extracurricular work, the design competitions, and the things I’ve raised my hand to volunteer for have been the drivers of my professional experience.

Working with design and event organization in uni helped me develop the facilitation and organization skills to succeed in my incident response and investigation role.

I couldn’t have planned it that way, but it’s my EXPERIENCES that I chose in my past that have helped to carve out the path I’m on now.

The only mistake you can make is to CHOOSE to do nothing, to choose not to participate in those extras in your life.

Keep putting your hand up for things that interest you.
