Day 2: Fernie - Creston - Kootenay Bay - Nelson
Day 2 - 340 km (629 km total)
Fixing broken things, beef and gravy breakfast, picnic in Creston, TURNS on HWY 3A, ferry ride, confusion, and a fabulous dinner.
I was able to fix Sarah’s lever with a bolt, wire, super glue and duct tape . We kicked things off with a nice breakfast out and geared up in our full reflective and bright rain gear . Only got a couple light sprays and stayed nice and warm. The scenery and clouds were super dynamic and fun to watch. HWY 3A was SO MUCH FUN . The turns were incredible on the moto . If this is a preview of what’s to come... wow! We took the ferry across Kootenay Lake and took some time to figure a plan out in Nelson before having dinner at Marzon .
