Day 12: Campbell River - Sayward - Woss - Port Hardy

Day 12 - 233 km (2,286 km total)

Northern BC driving with rain on and off. Lush forests, empty roads and the excitement of a long ferry ride coming up!

The day was pretty mellow as we just took the drive in most the way to Port Hardy. The roads really feel so easily like what you would see in a movie or an ad for travel... Every turn feels like the perfect setting.

People are all so friendly too! Lots of people on bikes automatically come to chat, people ask about our trip when we are filling up or packing the bikes... It's great!

We made it to Port Hardy with time to spare and were able to get some food from the grocery store as we were told there would be very limited service on board.

I was super pumped because when we checked about a cabin (we were waitlisted) we had one!! The cabin was great too! Nice beds, clean sheets, washroom with shower and we had a view out the window.

Spent the evening watching the changing scenery and chatting with our new friend Carla Hoger (I channeled my inner Stefan Rath and asked lots of questions. I know exactly what she packs for lunch and why...).
